Andres Rivera-Velez, DVM, DACVIM

Born and raised in Puerto Rico, I graduated in 2018 from Texas A&M University Veterinary School, and completed a rigorous rotating equine internship in Wellington, FL. After, I completed a Large Animal Internal Medicine Residency with emphasis in Equine Medicine in 2022 at Texas A&M University.

Since then, I practiced ambulatory and hospital medicine focusing in internal medicine and sports medicine in different great private equine practices.

In 2024, I felt the need to improved my work-life balance and started as an equine relief veterinarian. I enjoy teaching upcoming equine practitioners/veterinary students, educating clients and helping colleagues by providing veterinary support when they need it most.

When I am not working, I enjoy spending time with my wife and family trying new restaurants and attending all type of sporting events
